Father We’re weak and corrupt is the way.
Our Father in life follow so help us pray.
Be those ever near us when temptation is neigh.
Till Thou our hearts with Thy grace oh most high.
Heed Thou our cries when for strength we do call.
Come to our aid Dear God e’er we fall.
When passions surge within our breast.
Calm their storm dear saviour lest.
The lust and sin that in us roll.
Bring damnation to our soul.
Purge from our hearts every evil desire.
Watch thou our steps lest we sink in sins mire.
Bring to our steps a sense of right.
Open our eyes to Thy glorious light.
Then in joy and pain and care.
E’er will this be our earnest prayer.
