Stormy Night - November 2 1915

Wild is the night

The fierce gales night

Brings roaring the storm

Against the black sky

Lights flash and then die

The winds moan and sigh

Save us Oh Most High

The unsheltered cry

While on sweeps the storm

Wild is the night The birds crouch affright

In nests amid the torrents on the lea

The thunderous roar

From heavens door

And hellish wrath is lashing the mad sea

Fear not or complain and sigh

One who guides from high

Knows and abides with thee.
